How To Set Up Your GMB Listing For Your Meditation Center

Having a Google My Business (GMB) is an essential part of people being able to find your meditation center online. It’s your Google My Business listing that allows you to show up on Google Maps. When you have a listing set up and optimized, it will allow your information to show up near the top of the search results. 

So, how do you set up your listing for success? Here’s a few things you need to do to set up your listing properly. 

Fill In The Hours

Make sure that all of your locations hours are completely filled in. This should include special holiday hours. For example, if you are closed on Memorial Day or Christmas, make sure to set that it is closed on those days. It’s important to Google that someone can read your listing and know when your building is open. 

Write a Description of Your Center

In the info section about your center, you have the option to write a description of your business and the things you offer. If your center offers meditation classes, yoga, or other types of services, you will want to mention that here. Write a detailed description of who you are and what you do.

The information you put in this section should include keywords someone would use to search out what you offer. Google uses this description to determine if your listing is relevant to what a person is searching for. 

Add All Of Your Services

Also, in the section where you will write a description, there’s a place for you to add all of your services. Add as many services or class types here that you offer. There’s a way for you to add custom services to the list, so you can be creative in this section with what you write. 

List Your Scheduling Link 

If you have a scheduling link for classes or other services you offer, make sure you list that link in the appropriate section. This link will display on your listing so someone can click that scheduling link directly from the search results page. Of course, you will add your main website URL to the listing as well, but be sure to fill in any link option you are given. 

Include All Local Cities

On the info section, you have the option to list around 17 different cities that your meditation center is near. Fill in all of the local service areas, including the city that your center is located in. Even if some of the cities are farther away than you think someone would drive, it’s still good to list those areas. 

Fill In Any Other Relevant Attributes

There are several options under Business Attributes, Accessibility, Amenities, Health & Safety, and Service Options. Each of these sections has different information that is relevant to your facility and business itself. 

For example, under the Health & Safety section, you can list information about masks and temperature checks for staff and customers. In the Accessibility section, you can select attributions about wheel chair access. 

Add Images To Your Listing

Especially as a physical location, you should add images of your building both inside and out. Google will pull a street view of your building for the listing, but it’s a good idea to add your own shots as well. You can include pictures of classes you offer, instructors, and rooms in the facility. 

Optimize Your Listing Every Month
